On the market, your home is open to the inspection of numerous individuals. Always lock up valuables as a precaution. Keep doors and windows locked even if you see an agent coming to the door. It not only protects you from imposters, but also forces the agent to use the lockbox, which keeps an access log.

Satterfield Realty uses GE's latest lockbox technology to protect your home. You'll feel better knowing these safeguards are in place for you:

• Only licensed real estate agents are issued the special electronic key that opens lockboxes.
• The agent must enter a PIN into the electronic key, which prevents others from using it if stolen.
• An agent's electronic key is deactivated if her license is expired, suspended, or revoked.
• The lockbox works on a schedule, usually 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., so that you can sleep easy knowing no one can access the lockbox during night hours.
• The lockbox maintains a log of the exact time it is opened and the agent who opened it. You may request a printout of this log at any time.
